Meet every cat. Remember every one.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
In short: your cats are saved on your phone and to your account, so you don't lose them if you lose your phone. Photos you share help neighbours find the cat on the shared map, shown only at a rough area, and never with your name. Only you ever see exactly where you met a cat. To sign in we keep your email, your account ID and the username you choose. We don't show ads, track you, sell your data, or use it to train AI.
Cat Em All is a free iPhone app for remembering the street cats you meet. In this policy, "we" means Cat Em All. You can reach us at hello@arguably.ai.
When you're signed in, your cats are saved on your iPhone and also to your account on our servers, so they come back if you sign in on a new phone. This includes:
Photos you leave shared (the default for new catches) put the cat on the shared map, so other signed-in people nearby can find her. They see:
They never see who met her, your username, your exact location or when you were there. Photos you keep private, deleted photos, and photos older than 90 days never appear. Photos you took before the shared map existed were saved as private. The map explains this in the app the first time you open it, and you can switch it to show only your own cats.
If you allow it, the full-quality photo is also saved to your own Photos app, which we can't read.
Anyone can report a photo on the shared map. We keep which photo was reported, the reason, which account reported it and when, so we can review it. The person who shared the photo is never told who reported it. A photo stops showing for the person who reported it straight away, and for everyone once two people have reported it.
When you report a photo you can also hide whoever shared it. Then neither of you sees the other's cats on the map. We keep that link between the two accounts, but nobody in the app can see it, and you never learn who they are. You can undo it on the Me screen with Show them again.
If a cat's name contains a slur or harassment, it stays on your phone and your own pages, but other people see "a cat" instead.
| What | Why | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, and the name and profile photo link that Apple or Google share when you sign in (with Apple you can hide your email and leave out your name) | To create your account and sign you in. The app never shows your name to anyone. | You delete your account |
| Your account ID and the @username you choose | To identify your account. In a future version, people who have met the same cat may see your @username, never your name or email. | You delete your account |
| Your cats: photos, names, notes, edits, and where and when you met each one | To keep your collection safe and bring it back on a new phone, and, for shared photos only, to show the cat on the shared map as described below. | You delete your account. Photos you delete in the app are hidden at once and removed from our servers when you delete your account. |
| Messages you send with Contact us: the email to reply to, subject, message, app version and time | To answer you | You delete your account, or sooner once handled |
| Technical logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and time of requests | To keep the service secure and working | A few days |
We use this information only to run the app. We don't use it for advertising, we don't track you across other apps or websites, we don't sell or rent it, and we don't share it with AI services.
You can change these at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
We use a few services to run the app. They handle data only for us and must protect it at least as well as this policy describes:
We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
In the app, go to My Cats → your profile icon → Delete account. This permanently deletes, right away, your account, your username, your cats and their photos, your Contact us messages, and any reports and hidden people you made from our servers, removes the cats from your phone, and disconnects the app from your Apple or Google account. Photos you saved to your own Photos app stay there.
If you can't use the app, email hello@arguably.ai from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
Cat Em All is not made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Data is sent over encrypted connections. On our servers, every account can only reach its own data, and photos are stored in a private folder only your account can open. Your sign-in is stored in your iPhone's Keychain.
If what we collect or show changes, we'll update this page and its date first, and tell you in the app before anything new is collected or shown.

In short: you must be 13 or older. Be kind, share only photos of cats, and don't show people, homes or number plates. Report anything that breaks these rules and we'll deal with it.
You must be 13 or older to make an account. By signing in, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy.
Photos you leave shared appear on the shared map, as described in the Privacy policy. You keep the rights to your photos. By sharing one, you let us show it to other people in the app, in the way the shared map works, until you keep it private or delete it.
On the shared map, please don't share:
Funny and silly cat names are welcome. Names with slurs or harassment aren't shown to other people.
Every neighbour's cat on the map has Report this photo. A reported photo disappears for you straight away and is hidden from everyone once two people report it. We review reports and remove content that breaks these terms, usually within 24 hours. We may suspend or delete accounts that keep breaking them. You can also hide whoever shared a photo, so you no longer see each other's cats.
To tell us about anything else, use Contact us in the app or email hello@arguably.ai.
Cat Em All is for remembering cats, not for finding people. Be gentle with cats, respect people's homes and private property, and don't go anywhere unsafe for a photo.
Cat Em All is free, and we provide it as it is. We do our best to keep it running and your cats safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your favourite photos in your own Photos app too. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
If these terms change, we'll update this page and its date first, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
Found a bug, have an idea, or need help? We'd love to hear from you.
We usually reply within a few days.
Where are my cats stored? On your iPhone and in your account, so they come back if you sign in on a new phone. See the Privacy policy.
I saw a photo that shouldn't be there. Tap the cat on the map, then Report this photo. See the Terms of use.
Do I need to share my location? No. Without it, the app just won't record where you met each cat or show them on the map.
How do I delete my account? My Cats → your profile icon → Delete account. See Deleting your account and your data.
